Welcomed Visitors

We have had some torrential rain the past few days from tropical storm Andrea. The day after the worst of it I found this precious moment:

This is Makita. She is 10 years young, and she loves animals.
The following day (today), while attending to my vermiculture bin these guys decided to stop back in to see what exactly I was doing. On the right is a male Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata). One of the females is on the left. They are an invasive species here in Florida, but invasive or not, I'll never turn down an animal.
I fed them a banana. My biologist friends would be upset with me. Shameless "oops."
